Korat cats have many characteristics that distinguish them as a breed:
Korats are one of a few cats that have only one color: a silvery gray that often
has lavender undertones - sometimes called blue in the cat world, although it is
notably different in viewing from other 'blue' cats. They have eyes that
are a shade of yellow from birth but change to an emerald or peridot green at
full maturity (2 to 4 years). During this change their eyes are green in the
center with a yellow on the edges. And Korat cats, unlike other cats, when
viewed at night with a spotlight - their eyes reflect green rather than the more
common red.
Korat cats only have one coat and do not shed much hair.
